Oak Park to organize fest for Father's Day

A local organization will be holding a Father's Day celebration at the King's Kidz Academy in Oak Park.

The Juneteenth Father's Day Festival is a family experience where people can partake in fun activities and browse vendors. The entertainment at the program will include cultural performances and live music. Attendees can even enter a raffle to win the Ultimate Father's Day Experience. Vendors who wish to join the celebration can pay $80 per table. The proceeds earned at the fest will benefit Welcome to Fatherhood and the King's Kidz Academy.

Welcome to Fatherhood is the organizer of the event. The group was founded by Dr. Raheem Young and Sir Royce Briales to help fathers navigate parenthood by providing a forum to share their experiences. The nonprofit also creates events that empower fathers and highlight the importance of being a positive influence on their children's social and emotional development. Past events from the organization include the Welcome to Fatherhood Symposium and Welcome to Fatherhood Masterclass.

The family fest will be on Monday, July 17th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no set ticket price to enter the event, though guests are asked to give a donation. Pre-registration for the festival is not required. Nonprofits that offer family-friendly events such as this may promote their fests by using banner printing services.
