Oak Park residents can have an enjoyable shopping experience and help animals at the same time this holiday season.
For the 34th year, the Animal Care League is holding its Holiday Bazaar. The event will be held at the League’s training facility on Garfield, only two doors from the shelter. There, organizers will create a winter wonderland where shoppers can find gifts for everyone—including themselves—and help a good cause at the same time.
Shoppers will be able to choose items of holiday décor, gift wrap, lights, baked goods to serve their guests, and many other items. They will also have a chance to sign up to win a raffle, and enjoy baked goods and other seasonal refreshments. In addition, Santa Claus will be stopping by, and everyone will have a chance to take pictures with him.
Admission to the bazaar is free, and attendees are welcome to bring their four-footed friends. Perhaps best of all, the money raised goes to support the work of the ACL.
The Holiday Bazaar will be held December 6, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm; December 7, 9:00 am until 3:00 pm; and December 8 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Santa will be available for photos from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on December 7, and from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on December 8. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for events like this, listing vendors and their products.
