The organization Live4Lali will hold an event on substance abuse in July at the Oak Park Public Library.
Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution is a program where people can learn about substance abuse. The presentation uses education to help end the stigma about overdoses. Attendees will be taught how to use naloxone to reverse overdoses and be shown how to recognize the symptoms of using dangerous substances like fentanyl and other opioids. Guests will also be given access to resources that help those struggling with substance abuse.
