Oak Park studio to hold winter camp

The Magical Minds Studio will be organizing a winter program in Oak Park that will start in December.

The Winter Break Camp is a program where children can take part in themed crafting activities in a creative environment. The theme for the camp will be Winter Wonderland. Some of the arts and crafts projects held during the program include weaving, sculpting, and painting. Children at the camp are asked to bring their own nut-free lunches and snacks, and the organizers recommend participants wear clothes they can get dirty. Campers are also responsible for bringing their own water bottles.

The Magical Minds Studio was founded by Haj Mohammed-Herbert in 2008 to provide hands-on learning opportunities to children. The art studio offers many programs, including Passport 2 Preschool; Pinch, Poke & Play; and the Magical Minds CoLab. The venue holds weekly open studio sessions for families and has after-school workshops for kids to join. The lead art instructor for the studio’s after-school program is Staci Sterenberg.

The winter camp will take place each weekday from December 22 to January 6. Registration for the event is split into different weeks with varying prices. Refunds for the camp are only available three weeks before the activities begin. Art studios that offer events for kids such as this may use poster printing to share their camp sessions with the community.
