Candidates who are planning to run for library, school, and village boards in Oak Park, Illinois, this spring will have a chance to present their view soon.
The Suburban Unity Alliance is hosting a candidate forum at the Oak Park Public Library, to which all interested parties are invited.
According to Anthony Clark, director of the Suburban Unity Alliance, a number of candidates running for the boards of the River Forest High School and Oak Park High School, the Oak Park Village Board, and the Oak Park District 97 school board have said they will attend the meeting.
The moderator will introduce each candidate, and attendees will then be able to ask questions of the person. After each question, the candidate will be allowed the time needed to respond to the inquiry.
After the question-and-answer session, candidates will gather with others running for the same board or position. After that, attendees who are interested in one particular candidate or board will have time to chat with them informally.
The forum is scheduled for next Wednesday, January 11, at the library on Lake Street, starting at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Veterans Room, which is on the second floor.
