Oak Park schedules festival with flavor

Oak Park will be the site of an upcoming festival that promises to be as fun as it is delicious.

The Uncork Illinois Wine Festival will be bringing more than 150 wines from over 15 local wineries to Downtown Oak Park, for the seventh year. Wine lovers will have a chance to sample many different vintages.

• Massbach Ridge Winery
• Wild Blossom Meadery

• Juicy Luzy Sangria
• Prairie State Winery
• August Hill Winery
• Village Vintner Winery
• Castle Finn Vineyard & Winery

Admission for “Tasting Access” is $25 on the day of the festival, and $20 in advance. “Tasting Access” includes eight tastings tickets, and a free souvenir glass. Advance tickets can be purchase online until June 6 at noon. Downtown Oak Park will mail the tickets to purchasers, who will need to bring them to the event to be admitted, and to receive their eight tasting tickets and wine glass.

There are also additional tasting tickets available at the entrance for $1, and tickets for full glasses of wine are $8. The various wineries will have their beverages for sale as well. Part of the proceeds from the event goes to the Animal Care League.

The Wine Festival is scheduled for June 20, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Brochure printing can provide informative pamphlets for events of this type.
