Oak Park library invites author to give presentation

The Oak Park Public Library will be broadcasting a virtual program in February that involves the author Jasmine Guillory.

An Evening With Jasmine Guillory is an activity presented by Illinois Libraries where people can listen to a discussion between two accomplished authors. Guillory is the writer of While We Were Dating and is considered one of the brightest new voices in the romance genre. She will be accompanied by Morgan Rogers, who is the author of Honey Girl. They will discuss modern romantic comedies during the conversation. Libraries that broadcast insightful discussions like this can promote their virtual events with printing services.

Jasmine Guillory has written six romance novels during her career, including The Proposal and The Wedding Date. She has been featured in multiple well-known publications, such as The Oprah Magazine and Bon Appetit. Her latest novel, While We Were Dating, follows the romance between an advertiser named Ben Stephens and the actress Anna Gardiner. The story became a New York Times bestseller and was part of TIME Magazine's 100 Must-Reads of 2021.

An Evening With Jasmine Guillory will be held on Wednesday, February 16 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Registration is required to attend the Zoom call. All guests must abide by the library's policies during the event. After registering, people will receive a link to the Zoom room via email.
