The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association will hold a concert in Oak Park featuring several talented opera singers.
Singers from the Lyric Celebrate Christmas is a hybrid program that people can enjoy in person at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association or as an online video. There will be four Lyric Opera singers at the event, including John Concepcion, Kim Jones, David Govertsen, and Yvette Smith. The singers will be accompanied by pianist William Billingham. Guests can expect to hear holiday classics at the concert. A recording of the performances will be available a week after the program.
The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association is a group that began in 1891 and was originally known as The Nineteenth Century Club. The organization aims to strengthen the community with its public programs. Diane Moses is the current president of the association. The group hosts many activities for its members, like book club meetings and mahjong game sessions. Several public events are organized by the association, such as the Tale of the Tombstones.
The opera performance will be on Monday, December 18th from 1:15pm to 2:30pm. Registration is not needed for the holiday show, and there is no fee to see the concert. The organizers will accept donations at the event. Charitable associations that plan seasonal activities like this may use banner printing to help promote their shows to consumers.
