The Kidcreate Studio in Oak Park will hold a summer camp in July where children can work on themed art projects.
Bling it On! is a program that teaches kids about art techniques and terminology in a hands-on environment. The camp will focus on sparkly projects such as bracelets, snow globes, and jewelry Boxes. Campers can also work with watercolor paints and air-dry clay. The children are allowed to bring age-appropriate music to the studio to play while they complete projects. Parents are asked to pack a nut-free snack and beverage for their kids during each camp session.
The Kidcreate Studio in Oak Park is owned by Lindsey Danhauser and Allison Durkee. The organization was founded by Lara Olson, a parent who wanted to provide her child with more art experiences. Many programs are held at the studio, including the Introductory Drawing Weekly Class and the Glitter Galore Weekly Class. The bling-themed summer camp will be held from Monday, July 10 to Thursday, July 13. Each session will last from 9:00 am to noon. The price of attending the program is $169 per child, and all kids must be between 48 and 120 months old to take part in the camp.
