The Emerson, a luxury apartment building in Oak Park, is now open and leasing units. Residents could move in as soon as next Tuesday, August 1.
The Emerson is comprised of a mid-rise building and a tower. The tower is twenty stories tall, and gives residents a view of Chicago’s skyline. The units range from studios to two-bath, two-bedroom floor plans.
The apartments' living areas are finished with plank floors, and feature high-end finishes in the kitchens and baths, as well as washers and dryers in the units, and individual HVAC systems. The building's amenities include a fitness center, a rooftop pool with a fire pit and grilling stations on the pool deck; and a club room with a kitchen and dining room. Parking is available on site, and there are retail spaces on the ground floor. A Target outlet will be the building's retail anchor store, and is slated to open in October this year.
The Emerson is in the Oak Park downtown area, which is a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood that provides extensive shopping and dining options. Both small, independent stores and national retailers are within an easy walk of the new building. Patrons can shop at favorites stores, and stop for a meal at one of the 40 restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Readers can spend hours at the Book Table, an independent bookstore.
