The third A Night for Opportunities gala benefit will take place at the Elmcrest Banquets on April 14 from 7-11pm. Tickets are $75 and all proceeds go towards Opportunity Knocks, an organization providing support and programs for the developmentally disabled.
The evening will consist of an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, a silent auction, live music from the Arts of Life Band, speeches, awards, dancing, and a live auction hosted by Kevin Biggins. There will also be a free shuttle bus to and from Kevil’s Restaurant who will provide free valet parking. The clients of Opportunity Knocks are called The Warriors and several of them will be taking part in the celebrations and the dancing. The gala will be a great opportunity to meet with some of the Warriors and find out exactly where their money goes. It will also be the chance to network with their fellow citizens, government officials, and business leaders.
Local businesses from all over the area, including Oak Park, will be donating products and/or services to the silent and live auctions.
