Hair charity to host gala in Oak Park

Styles 4 Kidz will hold a fundraising gala in November at the Nineteenth Century Club in Oak Park.

The What's Your Dream Fundraising Gala is a program where people can help support an organization dedicated to providing hair services to children in foster families. Tickets for the party include dinner, dessert, and unlimited drinks at the venue. The goal of the gala is to raise at least $80,000 for the organization. There are sponsorship packages store owners can purchase from $1,000 to $5,000. The tiers include benefits like a shoutout in the event program and on social media.

Styles 4 Kidz was founded by Tamekia Swint in 2010. The organization was originally named Styles For Girlz, though the name was changed in 2016. The goal of the charity is to provide hair services to children with special needs and textured hair. The organization also teaches foster parents how to care for the hair of their children. The current chair of the group's board is Dana James, and the manager of the organization's salon is Christy James.

The fall gala will be held on November 4th from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Dinner tickets to the event will cost guests $125. Attendees are asked to dress in semi-formal to formal attire for the gala. Organizers for seasonal fundraising events like this may use banner printing to create outdoor ads for their causes that are easy for consumers to notice.
