A folk musician will appear at the Oak Park Public Library for its Folk Music Series next month.
Fans of the folk genre can attend a performance by Dennis Warner at the Oak Park Public Library’s main branch. The concert is presented by the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library.
Warner is a musician who has released several albums, including Journey of the Soul, A Perfect Morning, and Pilot Me. He has toured throughout South Africa and performed at notable venues like the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He also published a book titled Beads on One String.
Warner has been featured on several shows, such as Radio Unnameable with Bob Fass, River City Folk, and Radio Heartland. He has also won accolades like the 2023 Friend of Youth Award and the Individual Artist Award. Numerous organizations have featured Warner as a keynote speaker, including the Minnesota Kindergarten Association, Colorado School Counselors Association, and New Jersey School Librarians Association. Warner also presented at the Children’s Literature Workshop.
The folk performance will be held on Wednesday, November 6 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will take place in the library’s Veterans Room. Seating for the concert is limited, so guests must reserve their spots in advance. There is no cost for people to enjoy the show. Libraries that organize similar performances may use Print shops to make ads for their upcoming concerts.
