Oak Park will be holding a community activity in June that brings local organizations and residents together.
A Day in Our Village is a festival people can attend to learn about the community’s diversity and organizations. The yearly event was put on hold due to COVID-19, though it is now returning to the city with more than 100 booths.
The fest will take place in Scoville Park and is intended for current and prospective residents of the town. Local restaurants will sell food near the park. Community activities of this nature can be advertised with poster printing to get more people interested in participating.
There will be booths from several organizations at the village’s festival, including educational, cultural, and social service groups. Those who want to have a stall at the community program can pay $50 to register for the event. Groups that take part in the fest will not be allowed to sell items at their booths, though they may engage with event-goers through activities like passing out candy or face painting.
The A Day in Our Village festival will be held on Sunday, June 5 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors do not need to pay to go to the activity and interact with the booths. All organizations interested in running a booth at the event must register by Friday, May 13.
