The Rolling Meadows Chamber of Commerce holds several business outlook forums during the year. It features expert guests who share ideas and opinions on where business in the area is headed. Events such as these often give businesspeople enough information so that they can make informed decisions on where they want to take their business. The final forum for 2012 will take place in early December.
The guest speaker for the December forum will be Doug Whitley of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. He will be joined by guest panelists Kurt Anderson of Corbett, Duncan and Hubly and Mike Adkinson of the First American Bank. The topic of conversation will be where the economy is headed and how it will affect local businesses. Lunch will also be served and sponsorships for the event are available for local businesses.
This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for businesspeople in Rolling Meadows and surrounding areas. Many of those attending will likely be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance of the forum, making sure that their business cards are current, in perfect condition, and that they have enough cards to exchange with everyone they meet. They also might want to take time to learn and perfect an ‘elevator speech’ which describes their business in 30-60 seconds.
