Art returns to the streets of Arlington Heights
The 11th annual Promenade of Art is set to take place in Arlington Heights for two days this June. This event is partly hosted by the Village of Arlington Heights.
In total, 130 arts and crafters from all over the United States were chosen by a jury and are expected to be on hand to sell a variety of items, such as handmade jewelry, clothing, paintings, and photographs. Many of them will be providing free demonstrations on how they create their art.
For the first year, the Taste of Arlington will also be taking place during this festival. Local restaurants will be providing sample of their foods for a nominal price.
In addition, there will be live musical performances, prize draws for Art Buck (certificates that can be used to purchase items during the event), and art activities for children including a scavenger hunt.
Many of the artisans who will be displaying and selling their works during the show will no doubt want to make sure their booths are seen by visitors. Arlington Heights printing companies are often asked to provide items such as signs and banners just for that reason.
Free to attend, the event is taking place downtown between Vail and Campbell Streets over the weekend of June 7 to 8 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. To learn more about this annual event, call 847-926-4300.
