Arlington Heights to hold annual Frontier Days Festival
Soon it will be time for Arlington Heights Frontier Days Festival. The five-day festival will have everything from games, contests, rides to entertainment on two stages.
The first night will have
Carnival Bargain Rides, Dog Frisbee Catch and Fetch, baseball and softball skills and entertainment by Semple Band and Sealed with a Kiss. The next evening will feature a Teen Battle of the Bands, a Baggo tournament, carnival rides, hockey skills, a petting zoo and pony rides. Entertainment will be Plain Shite T’s, Signs of Life and Catfight.
Other activities will be a 3v3 Soccer Tournament, an Arts and Crafts marketplace and a Teen Volleyball Tournament, plus Acrobatic Hula Hooping, an Aqua Challenge and Pottery Fun. There will be a BMX Presentation, face painting and a K-9 demonstration. Also on the agenda will be an Ultimate Frisbee, Steve Berlliveau Science magic show and a Rib Eating Contest. The Wallflowers, Bucket #6 and ARRA will bring the entertainment.
The next night’s line-up will have a Stampede Run, pet parade, Bingo, and an Adult Volleyball Tournament. Contests will include decorated hats, cake decorating and pie eating. The 4th of July Parade will kick off the last day’s activities.
Everyone will want to mark their calendars for June 30th through July 4th. The fun will be at Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner Street, Arlington Heights. Times vary.
