Arlington Heights pets get own expo
The Chicagoland Family Pet Expo, touted as ‘America’s Largest Pet Expo’, will be coming to Arlington Heights in mid-March. This will be the 27th year for the event, where over 10,000 visitors are expected to attend.
There will be over 200 exhibits featuring pet rescues, services, and products. Both commercial and nonprofit commercial booths, as well as trainers, kennels, breeders and artists, will be on hand. Some services and products will include clothing, jewelry, grooming supplies, pet furniture, beds, sitting, veterinary services, and boarding. Children and their families get an opportunity to get up close and personal with a wide array of pets.
Magnificent Mutts Rescue will be there in booths 316 and 317, and the expo will donate $1 to the organization for every special Magnificent Mutts Rescue coupon it receives.
Attendees at events such as this usually like to amass exhibitors’ business cards to get in touch with them later.
The expo will also offer demonstrations, entertainment, and presentations. The entertainment will be on three stages and will include trick dogs, poodles, an Animal Quest, and police K9 demonstrations. There will also be Deaf Assistance Training demonstrations, a bird show, and the “Hello Kitty” Cat Show. West Burb Wieners will hold wiener dog races.
The Pet Expo will be Friday, March 15th from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm; Saturday, March 16th from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm; and Sunday, March 17th from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Arlington International Racecourse, 2200 W. Euclid Avenue.
