Arlington Heights looks forward to summers biggest block party weekend
Two events will take place on one weekend in early August. Arlington Heights Special Events Commission will put on their annual Mane Event on Friday and that will be followed by the Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Arlington Heights the next day.
The two events will be the kick off to the upcoming Arlington Million horse race. Over 20,000 people are expected to attend.
Mane Event will include a business expo, Metropolis Performing Arts and Children’s Entertainment.
Local businesses will have pop-up tents to sell their products and distribute business cards while larger sponsorships will include individual logo design on signs during the Taste of Arlington Heights. Larger businesses sponsor will also receive stage time for announcements, and giveaways such as promotional products.
The Taste of Arlington Heights will be the next afternoon. Local food and beverage vendors will be on the premises in pop-up tents both days. This event will offer music from local talent and the Suburban Chicago’s Got Talent finals. The winner will be announced at the end of the contest’s finale.
The Mane Event will be at the intersection of Vail and Campbell streets in Harmony Park from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm on Friday, August 3.
