Arlington Heights invited to explore neighboring Palatine
The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is presenting its annual “Explore Palatine” event in late August. It is doing this to promote shopping in the Village and support local organizations.
Participating Palatine businesses will be holding special sales, discounts, and promotions. Many will simply display the yellow balloon event logo design outside their businesses to show their support. In the past, some have even had live entertainment during these hours.
Everyone in the area is invited to go downtown Palatine to explore those retail stores and service providers they have not patronized before. Many guests will take the opportunity to dine at a “new” restaurant.
Local organizations, service providers, and businesses that are not located right downtown but are still members of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will have tables throughout the site with information, promotional products, and business cards to introduce themselves to passersby.
Organizers are creating events such as this because supporting local businesses helps keep local residents employed, and sales tax dollars stay in Palatine.
Participating businesses will be listed online with descriptions of their Explore Palatine contributions.
