Arlington Heights celebrates two-festival weekend
Two annual back-to-back events will be coming to Arlington-Heights again early in August. Special Events Commission will be holding its Mane event and that will be followed the next day by the Taste of Arlington Heights.
Friday evening there will be a Business Expo from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Local businesses will be meeting and greeting the public. Many businesses that attend events such as this give away promotional products such as promotional pens, mugs, rulers and other items sporting the business logo design.
Children’s entertainment will run from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The Jet Set Quartet will start its performance at 6:00 pm. 7th Heaven begins its gig at 8:00 pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The Mane event is scheduled from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm on Campbell and Vail Streets Downtown Arlington Heights on August 2nd.
The next day, Saturday August 3rd, at the same location, over 25 local restaurants will be serving their special food in this year’s Taste of Arlington-Heights.
This event will open with entertainment for the children and a DJ. Devin Purcell and the Root Doctors will take to the stage from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Indigo Band will take over from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm. School of Rock will perform from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Sugar Highway from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm, and AARA from 8:30 pm until 11:00 pm.
