Gainesville plans plant-focused expo

As Gainesville wraps up another gardening season, its home horticulturalists will be heading to a local venue to be part of a plant-filled celebration.

The Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center is set to welcome the 2025 Fall Garden Expo, and its two-day schedule is filled with learning, shopping, and a chance to meet other area green thumbs. Accessible parking is available at the location, and admission is $2 per attendee over 12, with those younger being admitted free of charge.

The function’s vendor area will be filled with tables and displays set up by area small businesses, and both new and returning sellers will be setting up shop. Everything from plants to honey, preserves, crafts, garden tools and other items will be on offer, and as it will take place outdoors under cover, it will take full advantage of the early fall weather. Carts will be available for use on a complementary basis, and information sessions, the popular “Ask a Master Gardener” table, and food trucks will round out the gathering.

To add to the excitement, draws for corporate gifts and additional prizes are in the works. The vendors may also be distributing promotional pens and other premiums to the crowd.

Gainesville gardeners are welcome to be part of this pop-up market occasion on the September 26 and 27 weekend. The venue is located at 1855 Calgary Church Road.
