As the nights grow longer, Gainesville will be lighting up the darkness with an activity that will showcase its festive side.
The annual Holiday Boat Light Parade will soon take the waters of Lake Lanier, offering an entertaining activity for both participants and spectators. It will make its way past several marinas, and the registration fee is $150 per person.
The activity, which is being organized by Georgia K9 Search & Recovery, will depart from Port Royale Marina, and it will cruise past Aqualand, University Yacht Club, Lazy Days, and Holiday Marina before wrapping up at Margaritaville. There will be prizes for the best decorated entry as well as a raffle, and everyone will receive dock space at Margaritaville and a gift card for Landshark Restaurant. Live music will have everyone on their feet dancing, and a collection of new, unwrapped toys will also take place for local kids.
Festive events may require decor that is just as exciting. A banner printing company can prepare custom decorations, ranging from small tabletop pieces to ones large enough to tow behind a plane or boat.
The 2025 Holiday Boat Light Parade will hit the water on Saturday, December 13, starting at 5:00 pm. Tickets can be reserved through its web listing, and more information will be sent out upon registration.
