FEST 24, an independent music festival that spotlights breaking independent artists, returns to Gainesville next month.

First held in 2002, this year’s 24th edition of FEST will have more new talent than any time in the past. Organizers reviewed material received from more than 3000 worthy bands who applied to perform this year.

Overall, FEST 24 will feature 338 punk, alternative and punk rock bands at more than 15 Gainesville venues over three days. There has been massive expansion over the years as the first event presented just 60 bands on four stages.

In addition to bands, the unique event also includes performances by comedians and professional wrestlers.

Acts will perform day and night over the three days at venues with capacities from 150 to more than 4000 people. Passes are sold as all access, giving ticket holders admission to all shows of their choice. Performance locations are all within walking distance, some of them immediately adjacent to each other.

FEST is a people-powered event which relies upon a group of dedicated music fans and more than 500 volunteers to present the annual celebration.

Grassroots groups such as this often use local Print shops to create their branding and advertising materials.
