Wilmington to host Riverfront July 4th event

Riverfront Wilmington is celebrating the Fourth of July and America’s 250th anniversary this summer.

The celebration is free to attend and has activities for all ages. There will be live music on three stages throughout the event. Performers will include the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Lower Case Blues Band, DJ Mega Skills, and Clifford Brown Festival Orchestra. Other entertainment will be hot air balloon rides, mini golf, amusement park rides, and games. There will also be a Delaware Made Village with vendors selling unique, locally made items.

Attendees can tour the Kalmar Nyckel, Delaware’s tall ship, and visit the Delaware Children’s Museum, which is offering free admission. The museum is located on the Riverfront and hosts a range of interactive exhibits. The Honor Tent will feature information about the state’s history and founders. Museums and historical groups often use brochure printing services to share information with visitors.

Food and drink options will include beer gardens and both indoor and outdoor dining at Riverfront restaurants. Participating restaurants will also host FIFA World Cup watch parties. Attendees should bring clear Bags only. Backpacks, bikes, and skateboards are all prohibited. The evening will end with a fireworks show accompanied by music from the Delaware Symphony Orchestra beginning at 9:30 pm.

The Riverfront Wilmington Fourth of July Celebration will be next Saturday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
