The Annual Delaware Mineralogical Society (DMS) Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show will take place in Wilmington this March.
The event will include vendor tables, an educational exhibit area and several raffles. A large selection of vendors will be set up in two ballrooms. They will offer both affordable pieces for new gem and mineral collectors and more exotic and museum-quality items for those with well-established collections. Exhibitors often work with Print shops to create Signs for their tables at this type of event.
DMS members and other mineral enthusiasts from the community will be set up in the exhibit area. These exhibitors will be displaying their own collections and providing information about them. Club members will also be sharing information about the DMS for those interested in joining. They will also tell stories about their mineral-related adventures.
Tickets are only available at the door. Attendees should avoid any sellers claiming to offer tickets online. The price will be $6 for adults, $5 for seniors 60 and older, $3 for teens 12 to 17 and free for kids under 12. Adults can download a one-dollar-off coupon from the DMS website.
The DMS Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show will be on Saturday, March 7, from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, March 8, from 11 am to 5 pm, at The Doubletree Hotel Wilmington.
