Cinco de Rhino is a one-of-a-kind celebration taking place in Wilmington, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about rhinos.
There are five remaining rhino species. The presentation taking place at the Brandywine Zoo will explore the threats rhinos face and where their habitats are generally located. More discussion will include how rhinos in Africa are impacted by conflicts presented by humans and other wildlife.
Managed by the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation, the zoo is part of the Delaware State Parks. The Delaware Zoological Society helps to support the zoo in various ways. The society is a non-profit organization based on membership and upholds the mission of the zoo. Contributions support education programs. There is a board of directors, along with the members. Volunteers often donate their time to assist with programs and projects.
Zoos frequently use Banners to direct visitors throughout the displays and habitats. Banner printing is typically handled by local Print shops using durable vinyl. The banners can be any size and designed in any color combinations.
The Wilmington Cinco de Rhino program will take place May 5, starting at 11:00 am. The fee is $5 per household or a classroom can be reserved for $15. The Brandywine Zoo is located at 1001 N. Park Dr. Questions about the event can be emailed to Education@Brandywinezoo.Org.
