Wilmington animal welfare group to host cocktail party
Humane Animal Partners (HAP) Delaware is hosting a dog-friendly fundraiser in Wilmington this September.
The Muttini Mixer will include live music, dancing and both live and silent auctions. Food and drinks, including signature cocktails, will be served. Proceeds from mixer tickets and auction items will support HAP Delaware’s work.
Tickets are available online for $130 per person. Dogs under 75 lbs are welcome. Attendees should indicate the number of dogs their group will be bringing when purchasing their tickets and keep their dogs in the ballroom during the event.
Several sponsorships are still available for businesses interested in supporting the party. Sponsors can cover specific sections like the spirits bar and fire pits, and they will have their logos displayed on signs in these areas. Organizers often work with print shops to create this type of sign. Those interested can sign up on the event webpage.

These include making placements for permanent pet adoptions, arranging short-term fostering, providing low-cost veterinary care and running a pet food pantry for pet owners experiencing financial hardship. The organization was formed when the Delaware Humane Association merged with the Delaware SPCA to use their resources more effectively.
