In early December, Wilmington residents may race in the morning and head out to an expo.
The December 3 proceedings will begin with the Wilmington Historic Half and 5K. “Take on the Historic Challenge” runners, who are those running both the half marathon and the 5K, will begin the 5K at 7:00 am, giving them enough time to get back for the start of the Half Marathon at 7:45 am. There will also be virtual options
“Take on the Historic Challenge” registration will be $145, and swag will include a half marathon medal, bib and long sleeve shirt sporting this year’s event’s graphic design, a 5K beanie and medal, plus a bonus gift at the finish line. The half marathon ($90) runners will receive bibs, medals, tech shirts, and a finish line swag gift. The 5K ($55) runners will get bibs, a medal, a beanie, and finish line swag.
Market vendors and exhibitors in categories like leadership, family resources, beauty, garden, health, wellness, food, and business will be showing their goods and services in the 30,000 square foot hall at the 2022 WILMA Expo. A special market will offer artisan, handmade, and vintage items. Many vendors in these genres often put Business Cards in with purchases.
The 2022 WILMA Expo will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Wilmington Convention Center, 515 Nutt Street.
