Pair of races scheduled for March

Wilmington runners will be getting ready for two races in March – the St. Patrick’s Revenge 5k and the 5k Art Run.

The day after St. Patrick’s Day, Bellefonte Brewing Co Brandywine will be presenting its annual St. Patrick’s Revenge 5k.

Swag will include a pint of craft beer, after-race snacks, and moisture-wicking T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design.

Runners and walkers can join charity fundraising teams that will be supporting the Trauma Survivors Foundation. This provides training and crisis intervention for First Responders, and hope to survivors of traumatic experiences.

Registration for St. Patrick’s Revenge 5k will be $29, and it will be Saturday, March 18 at 1851 March Road, beginning at 9:00 am.

The following Saturday, March 25, the 2023 Art Run – also called the Delaware Contemporary 5k – will take place at 200 S. Madison Street. Registration will be $35 for non-members and $25 for members of the Delaware Contemporary.

Swag will include T-shirts featuring the event Logo Design for all pre-registration participants, T-shirts to other registrants until they run out, and an after-party at the presenter’s location. The after-party will have kids’ crafts, brunch food truck, and a free beer for those runners over 21.

Awards will go to the top three finishers in each 10-year age group, as well as to the fastest team, largest team, and the team wearing the most festive and creative outfits.

The event opens at 8:15 am for registration and the 5k will start at 9:00 am.
