Mt. Cuba’s Center in Wilmington provides garden tours beginning in the spring through the fall season. Each tour is unique and different to the previous ones conducted. The next tour is August 14.
In-depth tours are offered by expert guides giving participants the opportunity to learn about native plants, gardening practices and best practices in sustainability. The tour content and experiences differ each time due to the ever-changing environment in the gardens.
The tours are two hours in duration and include walking through mulched paths, as well as rolling terrain. The admission ticket is for the whole day so guests can plan to visit the gardens at their own leisure, have a picnic on the grounds, or gather for a peaceful afternoon.
Posters are ideal for noting interesting facts and relevant information at outdoor venues. Poster printing companies can include images, content, logos, sponsors, and other details.
Night hikes are also available. The guided tour presents an experience to enjoy the sounds of the natural environment after the sun sets, as well as observe the stars in the quiet sky. The night sounds may include the hooting of owls, chirping of crickets, and noises made by foxes and frogs. Nocturnal animals make an appearance frequently.
The tour requires participants to bring their own flashlights and wear appropriate clothing, including sturdy hiking shoes.
Tickets may be purchased on the Mt. Cuban website.
