Annual arts festival returns to Wilmington
The Brandywine Festival of the Arts, the state’s largest arts festival, will be returning to Wilmington in early September.
More than 250 artists will be displaying and selling their art in this two-day juried show. The art will include jewelry, woodworking, photography, fiber, pottery, painting, glass, wooden spoons, and ceramics.
Adult admission will be $5 per day, and children under 12 will get in for free. Pets are welcome.
A special tent will offer face painting along with art and craft projects for the kids.
The park has a couple of eateries, local restaurants will have specials in the food court near the fountain and more than 15 snack and food vendors will be on hand. Some of these food vendors include Stix Chicken, Masala Kitchen, Crazy Rick’s and Home Grown Café.
More than 10 nonprofits will be passing out information about their programs, missions, hours, and locations.
Sponsorships are still available at the $4000 T-shirt level where the sponsor’s logo design will be printed on 400 volunteer/event shirts. Other available levels are the Food Court, Dining Tent, and Kids Korner at $2500 each, the Water Bowl, and Friend and participating sponsor of the festival at the $1500 level and Friend of the festival at $1000.
The Brandywine Festival of the Arts will be in Josephine Gardens at Brandywine Park, 1001 North Park Drive, September 9th, and 10th.
