Kathy Clark of Lombard, Illinois, helped Wilmington Airport and Frontier Airlines celebrate a milestone in mid-June. She became the airport’s 200,000th passenger with Frontier Airlines, which was a record for the period of time the commercial service had been in place.
The ceremony of recognition, which was no doubt celebrated by banner printing and the production of other eye-catching materials, took place at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 19. Clark was awarded a gift card worth $500, as well as other items to promote Frontier’s services.
The celebrated trip was to view colleges back east. Clark was flying with her nieces, daughter, and a family friend. The juniors, all from in or around Chicago, toured five separate college campuses, including the universities of Johns Hopkins, Yale, Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Harvard.
The women were about step onto Flight 383, headed for Chicago, when they was informed that she had allowed the airport to reach the milestone figure. Everybody on the flight from Wilmington was given a goodie bag with a lanyard, hat, and chocolates. The flight left on time, and was fully booked.
The Delaware River and Bay Authority operates Wilmington Airport, as is the same organization runs a number of other regional airports, as well as Delaware Memorial Bridge. Wilmington Airport is located on Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware.
