Vernon area nurses review current field information

As part of the Year of the Nurse, the New England Association of Neonatal Nurses (NEANN) is hosting a virtual review of a journal article. NEANN is located in Vernon's neighboring town of Tolland.

Nurse Scientist Carrie-Ellen Briere will facilitate a Journal Article Review via Zoom. Together, participants will read, discuss, and analyze articles to determine if they are relevant to their field. Then nurses around New England will be able to talk about their practices in relation to the article subject.

Registration is free for NEANN members and $20 for non-members. A link to the Zoom meeting room will be emailed to participants before the event.

Participants do not need any prior knowledge or experience. For questions or concerns, email info@neann.org.

The Connecticut Nurses' Association may authorize this course as one contact hour of professional development for nurses. The CNA is certified to approve professional development credit hours for nurses via the Commission on Accreditation of the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Briere is a PhD doctor and a registered nurse. She is on the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, and heads the Briere Human Milk Research Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts.

The virtual meeting will be on November 5 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Organizations often use flyer printing to advertise events in the physical world, even if the event will be online.
