Healthcare organization 4 Elements Direct Primary Care is hosting two Vernon seminars in April.
The United States is one of the world's top spenders on healthcare, yet in comparison to other developed countries, many people do not have access to healthcare. Attendees will learn the history and future of the healthcare system in Healthcare 101: How did we end up here and where will we go?
The forum will discuss the evolution of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and how the healthcare system became what it is today. It will also cover attempts to alter healthcare distribution, legislation, and possible ways to improve the system. The seminar is geared toward those who want an in-depth look at the past, present, and future of the system. Registration is $15.
Taking a different approach to health and wellbeing, the Instant Indian Cooking workshop is geared toward individuals who have little experience making Indian cuisine and want to learn more. Attendees will learn about spices like cumin, mustard seed, and asafetida, and how to make healthy dishes quickly using.
They will also learn recipes that are fast, healthy, and family friendly versions of traditional dishes. Working parents are encouraged to attend. The class is limited to 12 participants and registration is $35.
Healthcare 101 will be on April 20 and Instant Indian Cooking will be on April 27. Both will take place from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Rockville High School.
Organizations use flyer printing to advertise events in the community that may interest residents.
