Rockville Hall of Fame class of 2016 announced

The Athletic Hall of Fame for Rockville High School in Vernon has announced the list for the fourth group of inductees.

The names, which included an administrator and seven students, were disclosed by Committee Chairman and class of '88 graduate Scott Smith. They are Sarah E. Turkinton Kallajian, James M. Kelly, Gregory P. Berger, Joshua M. Hare, Patrick J. Connelly, Robert F. Campbell, Thomas J. Lucerini, and Richard L. Tingley who was a faculty member for 21 years.

The Class of 2016 will have their induction ceremony at Rockville High School on Sunday, September 18. Festivities start at 1 p.m. and the ceremony is planned to start at 2 p.m. and go until 3:30 p.m.. Rockville High School's past coach and faculty staff member David Smith has been the master of ceremonies each year and will continue his duties with this induction ceremony. Smith expressed pride in the Hall of Fame class this year. They have given so much to the athletic department. He and the committee await the ceremony eagerly when the community will help them reward the class. The family of John R. Williams Jr. will also receive the Exceptional Service award named after him. Williams was a math teacher for over 30 years.

Rockville High School could hire printing services to create programs for the awards ceremony, listing the itinerary and list of inductees.
