Vernon's Rockville Fest is all set to take place in the downtown area.
Rockville Community Alliance's Tom DiDio is the chair for the event. He stated that Rockville Fest is a mixture of a car show and a craft fair.
There will be activities for the whole family, including a moon bounce and over 25 vendors. Attendees will have a variety of food options to buy, including hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and pizza. Antonio's Pizza and Pizza Palace will stay open for customers.
Central Connecticut State University and the Central Car Club are responsible for the car show. Although any car can be shown, the fee is $10 to display a car. For $50, attendants can sponsor a trophy and hand it to the car of their choosing at 2:00 pm on that day. Since Tri-Town Cruzers no longer participate as a group and Central Car Club is a new and eager organization, DiDio believes over 200 cars will be entered, including ones from individual members of Tri-Town Cruzers.
Mill Street Auto have hired Grand Avenue, a rock band with classic and southern flair, to play during the event. Bridget Oei will also attend to take pictures and sign autographs. Oei was crowned Miss Greater Rockville and was the runner-up for Miss Connecticut.
With the event getting underway this Saturday, September 17, printing companies could create Posters for the event and Print Promotional Products for vendors.
