July 4th will see fireworks in Vernon

The Parks and Recreation Department for the town of Vernon will put on a fireworks display on Independence Day at Fox Hill Tower and Henry Park. The Rockville Community Alliance will set off fireworks in various places in the downtown area, with the show scheduled to start around 9:40 pm.

Since there will be different activities other than fireworks, it should be easy to find something to do and boredom seems likely to be out of the question. The fire department will have a truck slide. There will also be a moon bounce, dunk tank, a possibly an eating contest. Local bands will be playing and businesses will have seasonal items for sale.

As is tradition, Parks and Recreation will also put on the ‘Push, Pull Pedal, Patriotic Parade’ where citizens of all ages decorate wheeled vehicles and show them off. Participants should be at the Bank of America around 6:15 pm to decorate vehicles, and a parade starts at 7:30 pm, led by ‘Uncle Sam’, from East Main Street to Union and Elm and back again.

Organizers will no doubt be aware that one of the best marketing techniques for businesses is to have Business Cards on display at a public event. Vendors and entertainers will probably need printing companies to promote their services the best way a small card can. They might also need several of them for the event and may ask for more in the future if they are satisfied with the cards.
