Fireworks display set to go off with a bang

Rockville is set to host its yearly July in the Sky, which is viewable downtown and at Henry Park. This is the 72nd year of the fireworks demonstration.

Superior Energy and Price Chopper are the main sponsors, and as per tradition, the signal of the event's commencement will be a booming hail at 6:00 pm, which is when additional activities in the downtown area will start. These include food, games, a foam machine, a rock wall, and inflatable play places. Wristbands are $10 each and allow individuals to participate in everything.

At 7:00 pm, the Push, Pull, Pedal, Patriot Parade will start in the parking lot of Ladd & Hall. Mill Street Auto will sponsor this event. Attendees can march with their roller blades, skates, strollers, and bikes before possibly receiving a trophy.

Those planning to attend are reminded that no pets, alcohol, fireworks, bicycles, or skateboards are permitted at the park. Citizens from Vernon and other towns in the area often come to see the festivities, although the organizers regret that people may not be able to watch the fireworks at Northeast School this year.

The celebration will take place tomorrow, July 5, or on Thursday if the weather is unsuitable for fireworks. Flyers explaining rules and prices of the events could help patrons have the most enjoyable time possible on the day.
