Business showcase on the schedule next month

The Chamber of Commerce for Tolland County (TCCC) will have its yearly Business to Business Showcase in March, no doubt attracting businesses from county towns like Vernon.

A meet and greet will take up the first hour, and the plan is to gamify it with a possible prize for the company that talks to the most other businesses. The public is welcome to enjoy appetizers and raffles along with the companies.

Candice Corcione, the executive director for the TCCC, said that there will be plenty of food to go around. She added that working with someone the Chamber has met in person is more valuable in that it makes the person more familiar as opposed to meeting them online. It makes her feel more comfortable to know the person and to network locally.

Around 60 businesses and 400 members of the community turn out each year, but there is plenty of capacity for more.

Several businesses have benefited from the showcase and working together, such as Wellness Writers, which wrote an article for Cutting Edge Chiropractic about sitting in an office environment. Both companies are based in Tolland.

The event normally happens in April, but this year it will be on March 13 at South Windsor's Maneeley's from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Any company could work with local Print shops in order to create advertisements, Posters, and business Forms in preparation for this sort of event.
