Vernon will soon be home to two Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Cafes.
According to the owners of the franchise, the 229 Talcottville Road Citgo gas station is building a drive-through location for the restaurant. The menu will not be as extensive as other locations, but the drive-through will serve sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, bagels, pastries, and coffee. Its success will determine how the franchise grows in the future.
New Yorkers Joe and Jerry Puiia founded Between Rounds 20 years ago. The headquarters are located in South Windsor, with restaurants in the Vernon Circle Shopping Center, Manchester's Plaza at Buckland Hills, and a franchise in Tolland next to another Citgo gas station.
Adam Wayne, who also hails from New York, is the owner of Vernon's anticipated second location. He has over a decade of experience managing four locations of Edible Arrangements, and is the current owner of Manchester's Parkade Shopping Center's location. Jerry Puiia is confident that Wayne will succeed with the drive-through, and Wayne has expressed his excitement at the opportunity. Since he has experience with both business and social work, he has the advantage of knowing how people think and what motivates them.
The new Vernon location is set to open in November. New business owners like Wayne often benefit from digital Business Cards to use for networking.
