What's Happening in Norwalk, CT…

Three Norwalk events to show holiday spirit

A trio of upcoming events here in Norwalk will help people get into a festive frame of mind.

This Saturday, November 25, the City of Norwalk will be presenting its 2nd annual Holiday Extravaganza. Santa will certainly have all eyes on him as he rappels down the 50 Washington Street building to meet and greet the children. A merry-go-round will be open for guests to take a spin, and an indoor market will offer treats, holiday displays, and unique gifts.

Local music, dance, and theatrical artists will be giving live performances, and a kids’ zone will feature ornament painting and games.

The Holiday Extravaganza will run from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 50 Washington Street.

The weekend after, Wall Street Theater will be holding its 8th annual Wilton Rock for Food concert fundraiser supporting the local food pantry and Connecticut Foodshare. More than 30 local musicians will play during the three-hour show. The event will also feature a silent auction.

Wilton Rocks for Food will be on Saturday, December 2 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Wall Theater, 71 Wall Street. Tickets will be $100, $250, and $500. Theaters that support events like this often send pictures taken during the event to local print shops to become part of their future advertising.

Also on December 2, the Norwalk Community Chorale will present Comfort and Joy, its 62nd annual concert, at 7:30 pm. Admission is free at the Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue.
