Parents and Kids ready for Your First Mud Run
Many families here in Norwalk are looking forward to Your First Mud Run coming early in June.
The run has been specifically designed for kids and parents to run as a team. The course will be a loop course totaling 2 miles. The run will be interspersed with 10-14 obstacles created for kids and adults. Obstacles will include wall climbs, tubes, mud pit, tires, heavy jump rope, and balance beams. Kids must be at least 5 years old to participate.
Many families that take pictures at events such as this often take the photos to nearby stationery printers to be included in family yearly calendars.
New this year will be the Kids Competitive wave. Kids will compete with other kids of similar ages. The two divisions will be 9/10 year olds and 11/12 year olds. Winners will receive prizes, a chance to be on the podium, and the top five in each division will have names on the event’s website, bulletin board, and social media. These races will be in the morning so kids can still run the course with their moms and dads later in the day.
Regular registration will include finisher medals and finisher T-shirts with the event’s graphic design printed on them, free bag check and parking.
