Oyster festival comes to Norwalk

The 43rd Annual Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival is coming to town in mid-September.

Friday’s entertainment will be Eliot Lewis at 7 pm followed by SteelHeart at 8:30 pm.

Saturday festival guests will be treated to Jimmy Kenny and the Pirates Beach Band starting at 2 pm, singer/songwriter Alex Shillo at 7 pm and a tribute to Billy Joel group Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot.

The New England Village will have non-profit organizations passing out information about their missions and programs. Merchandise vendors will be selling their products and area businesses will be passing out business cards, promotional products and information about their goods and services.

Around 125 arts and crafters will display and sell their handmade items featuring their original designs. Kids can enjoy carnival rides, games, and activities in Kids Cove.

The International Food Court will have fresh oysters, New England lobster dinners, cotton candy, funnel cakes and Italian and Mexican cuisine.

Adult tickets will be $12 per day and kids’ tickets for children from 5 years to 12 years old will be $5. Seniors over 62 can get in for $10 per day.

The 2021 Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival will take place at Veteran’s Memorial Park and Marina, 42 Seaview Avenue, Friday September 10th 6 pm to 11 pm, Saturday September 11 from 11 am until 11 pm and Sunday September 12th from 11 am until 8 pm.
