Norwalk will soon be jamin
The second annual Rowayton Porch Jam will take place in early June.
Twenty-two homes on Rowayton Avenue will be holding jam sessions on their porches from noon until 5:00 pm. Each home will host a band and the performances will be staggered throughout the afternoon. That way guests can ride, bike, walk, skate or scoot from venue to venue.
The event will kick-off in Pinkey Park at Seaside Delights 177 Rowayton Avenue. There, guests can buy tickets and receive bracelets and maps to navigate around town.
Those that opt for the VIP tickets can stay and enjoy “Gratephul”- a Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead cover band- on the Pinkney House Porch, attend the Bloody Mary Kick-off Party in the park starting at 11:30 am and receive event swag bags. These tickets also come with the option to be chauffeured around from porch to porch.
Tickets will be $10 for children and students; $40 for general admission; VIP single tickets will be $100; VIP couple’s tickets will be $175 and three VIP tickets will run $275.00.
Proceeds will go to a non-profit organization (JAM), Junior Art & Music, music and art enrichment programs for Norwalk inner city children, youth and those with special needs.
Over 25 local businesses are sponsoring this event. This type of event is good advertising for businesses for their brochure printing, online platforms and other media.
