Norwalk to enjoy evening of music and food
Norwalk locals looking for an opportunity to get out of the winter doldrums, or who are looking for a worthwhile cause, might want to attend tonight’s Galaxy of Gourmets for STAR.
This will be a family-friendly event that will feature food, music, dancing and an opportunity to support STAR, Inc.
The fundraising event will offer an array of gourmet food courtesy of several restaurants from around Fairfield County. The delicacies will be cooked right in the venue’s demonstration kitchens, which will show off a host of leading edge cooking technology.
There will also be music, dancing, mingling, and conversation with local movers and shakers. One of the bands providing the music will be Rubberband, a rock and roll ensemble of performers with disabilities. The other will be another rock-oriented local band called The Extras. There will also be television monitors positioned around the venue showing STAR videos, and the event will feature an auction of Chinese items donated by local Chinese establishments.
Star Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that supports people with disabilities. Those who plan to attend may want to update their digital business cards for sharing with fellow attendees.
