Norwalk readies for annual charity ball
The event usually brings in about $50,000 for local charities. Mayor Ritting has announced that The Salvation Army and the Family & Children's Agency will be this year's beneficiaries.
The Salvation Army has been in Norwalk for 140 years serving hot meals, supporting food pantries, referring residents to community assistance programs and hosting children's programs.
Family & Children's Agency has been here in Norwalk for more than 80 years and provides behavioral and development health services, parent education programs, foster family and adoption assistance, after school programs, and supportive housing. It also has a hand in Nowalk community senior services.
Tickets are $200 per individual and can be purchased online until March 5th. Tables of ten may also be reserved.
Local businesses and associations are donating items for the silent auction.
Businesses that contribute to silent auctions often tuck businesses cards sporting their logo design in with the donated items.
Typically, the event begins with a cocktail hour and dinner. Entertainment and a guest speaker address the guests for about an hour, before raffles and the silent auction begin. The last hour is reserved for socializing and dancing.
The 2025 Mayor's Ball will be held Friday March 14th from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm in Stanford at 1620 Newfield Avenue at the Italian Center Serafresca At the IC.
