Norwalk opens road for festival
Sustainable Streets Norwalk will be hosting its annual Norwalk Open Streets; Walk Bike & Roll Festival coming in early May.
Attendees will have a few hours of car-free bliss as a part of Calf Pasture Beach Road will become a temporary greenway where cyclists, rollers, joggers and pedestrians may enjoy the great outdoors without the worry of car traffic. The other side of the highway will remain open to two-way traffic.
To get locals up and active the event will have people hopping on their bikes, lacing up their tennis shoes, and grabbing their rollerblades in order to head for Calf Pasture Beach Park. This will also be a chance for families, friends and neighbors to bond while enjoying the sun and fresh sea breeze.
The journey along the Calf Pasture Beach Road will end at beach parking lot's east side where the Pedestrian Plaza is located.
A few surprises are in store there, and food vendors will be on the Plaza with snacks and festival food to add to the festivities.
Food vendors that locate in one specific place over time, often use a logo design or a graphic design that coincides with the location.
Although the event will be free, the food will be available for purchase.
Norwalk Open Streets: Walk Bike & Roll Festival will take place Saturday, May 4th.
