Norwalk on the run next week
The Fairfield County 5K will be gearing up in just a few days’ time.
Over 50 local corporations, companies and nonprofits have registered teams of three or more for this corporate fun run. Runners, racers and walkers will be welcome. Many of these companies will be using this event as an employee engagement platform, or a team building event.
Participants can register online either as a team or as individuals that will be added to already existing teams. Teams are composed of full-time employees, part-time employees, and corporate guests. T-shirts with the Corporate FunRun graphic design will be included in the registration fee.
Although employees and guests are invited to participate, only full-time employees can be selected to be timed for awards. Awards will be given to first, second, and third placed corporate male/female teams, corporate mixed teams, and corporate male/female individuals.
A post-race party will have food, beverages and live music. All food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The Fairfield County 5K will be Thursday, July 26 at Cranbury Park-Norwalk, 300 Grumman Avenue. Race night registration, team packet of timing chips, tee-shirts, and bibs pick-up and company gatherings will run from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The run/walk will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 7:30 pm. Awards ceremony and the post-party will kick off at 7:30 pm and go until around 9:30 pm.
