Norwalk juniors sign up for charity golf classic
This will be the 26th year for the Kennedy Center Charity Golf Classic which will be coming in a few weeks. This unique tournament will have one junior golfer included in each foursome.
Foursomes will have the option of playing a scramble or best ball format for 18 holes. A gourmet lunch buffet will be provided before heading out to the links.
After the round of golf the event will host a cocktail hour and the awards ceremony. Following that there will be a turf/surf dinner. A silent auction and a raffle will conclude the evening’s festivities.
One of the benefits of the highest sponsorship levels will be prominent banner signage at the lunch, cocktail hour and dinner. Other benefits include signage on the green and inclusion in the event program.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit adults and children with disabilities through the Kennedy Center Program Services. The event also funds the Ahibin Junior Golfer Scholarship Program which offers scholarships to Connecticut junior golfers in grades 9 through 12. Over 400 young golfers have received aid through this program since its inception in 1991.
The classic will be June 26th at the Shorehaven Golf Club, 14 Canfield Avenue, Norwalk. Lunch will begin at 11:00 am and tee time will be 12:30 pm. Cocktail hour starts at 5:00 pm with dinner and Golf Prize at 7:00.
